Abstract

Bryophytes: Basic knowledge on morphology, ecology and endangerment of byrophytes; knowledge of abundant species; skills in determination of broyphytes; excursion.Ferns: basic knowledge on life cycle, evolution and population biology of ferns; determination of Swiss ferns; excursion.

Objective

Part bryophytes: Basic knowledge on morphology, ecology and endangerment of byrophytes; knowledge of abundant species; skills in determination of broyphytes. Part ferns: basic knowledge on life cycle, evolution and population biology of ferns; determination of Swiss ferns.

Content

Part bryophytes: Systematics and morphology of hornworts, liverworts and mosses and special themes such as ecology, biogeography, diversity and endangerment of bryophytes, one full-day excursion. Part ferns: Life cycle, systematics of major groups, world-wide diversity, breeding systems, micro-evolution and population biology of ferns and fern allies, one full-day excursion.
