Wärmetransport und Strömungslehre
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:13:09
Abstract
This course teaches the basis and the methods for the description and for the quantitative treatment of heat transfer and fluid flow with emphasis on physico-chemical processes
Objective
At the end of this course students should be familiar with the basis of heat transfer and fluid flow, and have acquired the ability to describe these phenomena in practical processes and to perform the corresponding calculations
Content
Mechanisms of heat and momentum transfer; steady and non-steady heat conduction; convective heat transfer; heat transfer correlations; radiation heat transfer; laminar and turbulent flow; Navier-Stokes equations; boundary layer theory, flow in porous media; multiphase flow; dimensional analysis; analogy between mass, heat and momentum transfer
