Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:13:09
Abstract
This course teaches the basis and the methods for the description and for the calculation of changes of state of real fluids, for the description of non-ideal mixtures and for the calculation of phase and chemical equilibria in such systems
Objective
At the end of this course students should have acquired the ability to perform thermodynamic calculations and to obtain the necessary data in the quantitative treatment of physico-chemical processes
Content
Properties of non-ideal fluids; equations of state; single component and multi-component systems; models for mixtures, fugacity and activity coefficients; application to phase equilibria and chemical equilibria
