Abstract
Collaboration is important not only within a company but also with partners outside. The course gives an introduction to theory and practical application. The students are invited to interact with the teaching team.
Objective
To learn and understand the management basics of interfirm cooperations and organisational networks; application of knowledge in case studies.
Content
Introduction to theory and management of interfirm co-operation and networks - strategic, structural, cultural aspects. Description of the co-operations process: formation, management and evolution of co-operation and networks. Functional view: cooperations in marketing, development, production. Special forms of co-operation: mergers & acquisition, joint venture, strategic alliances, networks, virtual communities.
