Abstract

In the form of case studies, an attempt will be made to find an adequate architectural expression. This will be done with an analysis of those historical examples with a significant relationship between construction and realization.

  • MAS in Architecture (The Departement of Architecture of ETH Zurich offers the following continuing education programms within MAS Architecture: - Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) - Conservation Science - City Building Typology - Sustainable Management of Man-made Resources - Tectonical Construction Systematics - Urban Transformation in Developing Territories - Housing)
    • Tectonical Construction Systematics (One year full-time course or two year part-time course for professionals according to individual study programm. Total expenditure: ca. 1750 to 2100 hours. The student suggests the subject within the given restrictions. This is then made more specific and definitive in cooperation with the Chair. An independent project is expected which will be developed in regular meetings with the Chair. The project must consist of a historical-analytical and a design section, and must be handed in as a bound thesis. Individual assessment in regular meetings with the Chair. Personal presentations based on drawings, plan and texts. The Porgramm requires a total of 70 ECTS credits and is subdivided into the following sections: Analysis, fundamentals 35 credits Design, architectural project 35 credits For more informations please visit: )
