Objective
A concrete location and the specific atmosphere of the individual building program are the base of oldnew architecture. According to the oldnew conviction, cities and buildings in Central Europe have their own melody and their own texture that provide the base for their further evolution. We are not interested in global aesthetics, non-places, fun cities and commercial virtuality. We believe that comfort and solid workmanship support the architectural form. Our design is inspired by empiricism and simple solutions, our planning process is aided through holistic representation and precise detailing.
Content
This part of the curriculum addresses design work in different areas of architecture and urbanism and integrates the knowledge acquired in previous years. It involves the active participation of specialists from related disciplines (e.g. building structures, landscape architecture, history of art and architecture, monuments conservation etc.).
