Abstract
The demonstration of economical considerations within the design and construction process of buildings is the main focus of the diploma elective.The economic factors of building construction are examined and the specific decision process is simulated.

The demonstration of economical considerations within the design and construction process of buildings is the main focus of the diploma elective. The economic factors of building construction are examined and the specific decision process is simulated. Based on actual case studies, the economic consequences are shown with the help of web based models. The resulting relationships and data result in a recommendation for building, like demolition, soft refurbishment, conversion or new build.
