Anwendungsorientierte Aspekte des Naturschutzes stehen im Zentrum. Einfluss des Menschen auf Natur- und Landschaft. Schützt Naturschutz die Natur? Arten- und Biotopschutz. Inseltheorie. Naturreservate. Gesetzliche Grundlagen. Rote Listen und Blaue Listen. Staatlicher und privater Naturschutz. Fallbeispiele zur Renaturierungsökologie (Renaturierung von Skipistenplanierungen und schwer besiedelbarer Substrate, Bachausdolungen). Landschaftsschutz. Analyse von Landschaft als Raum-Zeit-Komplex; Methoden der Landschafts- und Naturinventarisierung; Instrumente im Natur- und Landschaftsschutz
