Abstract

This class aims to help students integrate skills of writing, thinking, and arguing so that they can build persuasive arguments in the discipline of spatial planning.

Objective

Spatial planning deals with complex issues in dynamic environments and brings together many disciplines, i.e., planning attempts to link scientific and technical knowledge to actions in the public domain, to processes of societal guidance, and to processes of spatial and social transformation. In order to address the public, various administration departments, clients, politicians, and citizens involved persuasively, effective argumentation skills are required.
