Abstract

We deal with the basics of photogrammetry and satellite remote sensing, as applied to earthobservation. We cover the most important sensors, data acquisition and processing techniques and the related products. We concentrate on forestry and landscape applications. Two labs/demos will support the lectures.

Objective

The students experience the basic techniques of aerial photogrammetry and satellite remote sensing and their application potentials. They should get an overview of the most important sensors, data acqusition and processing techniques. The teaching material is application- and result-oriented. Focus is on forestry and landscape applications. Two labs/demos give the opportunity to deepen the knowledge and to get a more practical perspective.
