Abstract
At the end of the Cold War, it was expected that a sizable peace dividend could be achieved. Yet, the war on terrorism has led to a growing disillusionment. Terms such as "geostrategy" and "power policy" boom and are indispensable for the understanding of global political relationships. The aim of the lecture is to explain these terms from a theoretical and practical viewpoint.
