Abstract
A guided self-study of original papers and of advanced textbooks in theoretical physics. Within the general topic, determined each semester, participants give a presentation on a particular theme.
Content
Im Proseminar geht es um das angeleitete Selbststudium von Originalarbeiten und von fortgeschrittenen Lehrbüchern der theoretischen Physik. Innerhalb des semesterweise festgelegten Gebiets haben die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer einen Vortrag über ein spezielles Thema zu halten. Wiederkehrende Gebiete sind: Festkörperphysik, Teilchenphysik, mathematische Physik, Quantenfeldtheorie, Allgemeine Relativitätstheorie, Computational Physics etc.
