Objective
Kennenlernen von Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Untersuchung und Behandlung neurologischer Krankheiten und ihrer pathogenetischer Mechanismen
Content
Anhand von Patienten-Demonstrationen in der Klinik Valens werden die Prinzipien der Klinischen Neurologischen Untersuchungstechnik und die Wertung von technischen Untersuchungsbefunden (MRI, EEG, evozierte Potentiale, Elektroneurographie und - myographie, Liquor) dargelegt. Die einzelnen "grossen" neurologischen Krankheitsbilder (Schlaganfall, Epilepsie, Multiple Sklerose, Hirntrauma, Demenzen, periphere Polyneuropathien etc) werden besprochen, wobei v.a. Wert gelegt wird auf das Verständnis der Krankheitsmechanismen, der sinnvollen Diagnostik und der rationalen Therapiemöglichkeiten.
