Abstract
Observations and physics of the interstellar and intergalactic matter and its relations to the evolution of stars, galaxies and the universe.
Objective
Die Phänomenologie und Physik der interstellaren und intergalaktischen Materie und deren Beziehung zur Entwicklung der Sterne und Galaxien und des Universums wird vermittelt.
Content
Eigenschaften der interstellaren Materie (ISM) und intergalaktischen Materie (IGM). Beobachtung und Physik der ISM und IGM: Gas, Staub, Magnet- und Strahlungsfelder, hochenergetische Teilchen, dunkle Materie. ISM und Galaxiendynamik. Zusammenhang zwischen ISM und Sternentstehung, Sternwinden und Supernovae. ISM/IGM und Galaxienkollisionen. Heisses Gas in Galaxienhaufen. ISM/IGM und aktive Galaxien. Lyman-alpha Wolken.
