Abstract

Theoretical Physics for Mathematicians. Usually the following topics are covered: Maxwell theory, special and general relativity, or nonrelativistic quantum mechanics.

Interessierte Studierende der Mathematik werden in ausgewählte Teilgebiete der theoretischen Physik eingeführt, wobei die Physik sowohl als Quelle mathematischer Fragestellungen als auch als Anwendungsgebiet hochentwickelter Mathematik betrachtet wird. Behandelt werden in der Regel: Maxwellsche Theorie, spezielle und allgemeine Relativitätstheorie oder nicht-relativistische Quantenmechanik.
