Abstract
The students gain complementary knowledge for the laboratory course in Galenical Pharmacy (LV 535-0419-00L) in the areas of statistical design of experiments, particle size analysis, tensiometry, rheology and parenteral dosage forms. Depending on particular circumstances, other areas of interest may be covered.
Objective
The students dispose of propaedeutic application-oriented knowledge in the areas of statistical design of experiments, particle size analysis, tensiometry, rheology and parenteral dosage forms; depending on particular circumstances, other areas of interest may be covered.
Content
Knowledge, comprehension and application of methods and techniques in the following areas: factorial design of experiments, particle size analysis, rheological measurements of fluid systems (rheology), measurement of surface tension of liquids (tensiometry), and parenteral dosage forms including water purification, sterilisation, sterility testing, freeze-drying, osmometry, and conductometry.
