Medicinal Chemistry and Biophysics II
Medizinische Chemie und Biophysik II
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:18:28
Abstract
The lectures in Medicinal Chemistry and Biophysics give an overview over the most important drug targets and the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of therapeutic agents. Structure-function relationships, the biophysical rules underlying ligand-target interactions, as well as strategies for the development and optimization of pharmaceuticals will be discussed.
Objective
Understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the therapeutical and biological effects of modern drugs
Content
Molecular Mechanisms underlying the biological effects of synthetical and natural therapeutics. Structure-acitivity relationships, biophysical mechanisms underlying the interactions of ligands with their targets.
Resources
Lecture Notes
The slides presented in the course of the lecture and the pertaining learning goals will be sent to the students by e-mail the evening before the lecture
