Abstract

Introduction to patent law for scientists and engineers, including a comparative survey of related IP rights, their legal function and their economic relevance.

Objective

Imparting knowledge about the effect of a patent and the rights and duties of the patentee/inventor and the licensor/licensee.

Content

Effects of the patent, consequencies of patent infringement, court procedure (infingement and nullity), education and daily work of a patent attorney, recent developments concerning international patent law aspects and patent strategies of companies. Guest speakers, especially lecturers of the MAS IP Program will join the lecture.
