Objective
Introduction to fundamental methods in computer graphics with a focues on image synthesis, geometric modeling, and computer animation
Content
This course covers some of the fundamental concepts of computer graphics. The three main parts of the class are image synthesis, geometric modeling, and computer animation. The first part discusses raytracing, the physics of light transport, the rendering equation, and some advanced techniques for photorealistic image synthesis. The second part will introduce the basics of modeling with curves and surface, i.e., Bezier curves and surfaces, B-Splines and NURBS. The third part focuses on traditional character animation and introduces some of the core techniques used in animation for feature films and games.
