Abstract

An appropriate analysis of individual and organizational conflicts is aprerequisite for an understanding of environmental behavior. Very oftena problem of analyses is that the nature of the situation is not wellunderstood. Game and decision theory can help here. The lecture consists of conceptual parts (for understanding) and formalparts (how to represent conflictual situations).

Objective

The lecture will provide literacy and basic competence in Game and Decision Theory (GDT). The participants will learn to understand some essential principles and representations of GDT. These should help the student to describe essential aspects of environmental decision making and conflicts in their master thesis or other projects. The learning lecture is based on four didactical components with related learning goals - input lectures - practical exercises - literature literacy - Students inputs and discussions
