Abstract

Deepening creative processes, elaboration of individual own ideas and their visual implemenatation by appropriate and effective means. New possibilities of perception and expression are tested with both traditional and unfamiliar methods.

Objective

Deepening creative processes, elaboration of individual own ideas and their visual implemenatation by appropriate and effective means. New possibilities of perception and expression are tested with both traditional and unfamiliar methods.

Content

The course aims at deepening the creative processes that lead from what is observed and known to what is unknown and unfathomed, i.e. to a different kind of perception, whereby the nascent awareness of the virtually incalculable variety of methods has a stimulating effect. When we speak of design, we refer not only to the traditional processes of outlining, hatching or intimating by means of a pencil or similar instrument, but equally, for example, to the organisation of form through light, smoke or specific arrangements of natural elements (land art). The starting point consists primarily of predetermined themes and projects. Attention is, however, always focused on the elaboration of individual own ideas and their visual implementation by appropriate and effective means. New possibilities of perception and expression are tested with both traditional and unfamiliar methods. The experimental principles and implementations of the work will be thoroughly discussed, both individually and in connection with artistic realisations.
