Abstract

This seminar deals with a wide range of topics from treasure chambers of the 17th century and their classification systems to modern collections. The meaning of archives as places of sourced out knowledge will be discussed in the following contexts: What is being preserved and filed and why?It is planned to compile a collection of different materials in course of the seminar.
