Abstract

Overview and understanding of the most important geophysical methods: Potential field methods (Gravimetrics and Magnetics), Electrical and electromagnetic methods, Refraction and reflection seismics, Georadar. Discussion of survey design, sources and receivers and data processing.

Objective

Überblick und Verständnis der wichtigsten Methoden zur Erfassung und Bearbeitung von geofysikalischen Daten. Lösungsansätze zu umweltrelevanten Geosphären-Problemen in unterschiedlichstem Maßstab. Einarbeiten in Meß- und Interpretationsverfahren. Aufzeigen der Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Geofysische Methoden.

Content

Grundlagen der Geofysikalischen Methoden; Potentialfeld-Methoden (Gravimetrie und Magnetik), Elektrische und elektromagnetische Methoden, Refraktions- und Reflexions-Seismik, Georadar. Wichtige geophysikalische Parameter. Funktionsweise von Quellen und Empfängern. Prinzip der digitalen Datenaufzeichnung. Erläuterung der einzelnen Schritte der digitalen Datenverarbeitung. Ausblick auf weitergehende Methoden und Interpretationsverfahren. Beispiele von bestimmten Problemen, z.B. Deponien. Es werden auch Übungen im Gelände durchgeführt.
