Content

In the third and forth term, courses take place as lecture and exercise. Apart from an introduction to Multimedia techniques, complex digital tools in architectural design are explored. By Multimedia we understand both: the traditional haptic media and the new computer aided media. In the courses, the media ‘film’, ‘picture’, ‘text’, ‘Internet’, ‘design’, ‘model’ and ‘animation’ are discussed and practiced. Two things are important: first of all medium-oriented modeling of information and second the transfer of information from one representational form into another medium. As emphasis, computer aided design- and production methods are given and prototypically learned in the form of exercises. It is of great importance, that the acquired talents and skills are translated into the work for the design courses.
