VVZ CR n/a

Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:06:57

Abstract

The course provides an overview of several interdisciplinary and quantitative approaches to the study of biological problems, including transient spectroscopic techniques, biosensors and advanced light microscopy techniques. A brief tutorial on Matlab is followed by numerical analyses and modelling examples of biological problems.

Objective

Provide an overview of some experimental and numerical approaches used in the study of protein dynamics and function, as well as on cell dynamics.

Content

The course starts with a refresher of the necessary background information needed to understand the material discussed. Thereafter, the students are exposed to several interdisciplinary and quantitative approaches to the study of biological problems, including transient spectroscopical techniques, biosensors, advanced light microscopy techniques and numerical modelling of cellular events.
