Introduction to the problems of rail-guided vehicles and traction systems.

Physical base; pulling/braking power; rolling and air-resistance, Power, energy; adhesion; structures of rolling stock; mechanical part of the vehicles; wheel-rail system; questions of comfort. Rail power systems; power-plants-substations-catenary; Power-circuit of locomotives; maintenance of rolling stock
