Abstract

General introduction to the basics of rhythm, metre, melody, harmony (part one in a 3-part course of music). Music History, references to natural science and philosophy. Training in listening.

Objective

A broadening of general musical education (with interdisciplinary cross references).

Content

A phenomenology of musical space and time. From rhythm to metre - from intervals to keys. Simple musical basic facts demonstrated in their complexity.
