Abstract

The lecture begins with an overview of environmental sociology, and then treats theories and empirical findings in select research fields such as risks in modernising, environmental consciousness and behaviour, the social distribution of environmental risks, the evolution of cooperation, the overuse of resources in a commons dilemma and the design of an empirical study on ecological behaviour.

Objective

Einführung in Theorie und Empirie ausgewählter Aspekte der Umweltsoziologie mit Diskussion von Fallbeispielen und emprischen Untersuchungen.
