Abstract

Bird watching field trips

Objective

Familiarity with the most important resident and visiting bird species; understanding of their living conditions and of their protection.

Content

Familiarization with locally breeding and migrant birds during four to five field trips per semester in Switzerland and neighbouring countries. Experiencing the annual rhythms of bird populations; issues of the protection of birds and biotopes.
