Fibre bundles and characteristic classes

Abstract
An advanced course on Algebraic Topology intended for doctoral and master students. We will cover some chosen topics from algebraic topology including basic properties and examples of fibre bundles, vector bundles, characteristic classes. We planing to give some applications for the theory of characteristic classes to the questions of existence of divison algebras over real numbers etc.
Objective
Es wird auch beabsichtigt, einige Anwendungen der Theorie charakteristischer Klassen auf Existenzfragen von Divisionsalgebren über den reellen Zahlen, Immersionen projektiver Räume u.ä. zu geben.
