Objective
Overview on the manufacturing processes for fibers, yarns, and fabrics in the areas of apparel and home textiles, including the aspects of cost, productivity, and flexibility. Basic knowledge on the interaction of material properties, yarn structures, and the design of knitted and woven fabrics, relating to the properties of the finished fabric. Industrial realization of a fabric as exercise. Introduction to test and quality control of textile products.
