Objective

Content

The goal of this course is to teach essential topics in quantitative / population genetics, H-W equilibrium, migration, mutation and selection, genetic constitution of populations with respect to single and multiple genes, estimation of gene frequency, change of gene frequency, drift and genetic modeling of phenotypic characters. Estimation of genetic variance, predictions of direct and correlated selection responses and threshold model theory are introduced. This course is suitable for students in life sciences including plant, animal and human quantitative/population genetics.
