Abstract

A deeper understanding of exercise physiological topics, like energy metabolism, muscle plasticity, adaptation to activity, aerobic and anaerobic training effects, prevention and rehabiltation, influences of the environment, coordination of ventilation and movement, diving, gender aspects, exercise of joung and old people, altitude aspects, doping, etc.

Objective

The students should improve their knowledge of exercise physiology. This will be done by enlarging the knowledge and by going into more depth of the basic knowledge. The students should learn to built their own opinion by critical questioning and discussions. In addition, the students should experience exercise physiology on their own by performing tests.

Content

The following exercise physiological topics are discussed: energy metabolism, muscle plasticity, adaptation to activity, aerobic and anaerobic training effects, prevention and rehabiltation, influences of the environment, coordination of ventilation and movement, diving, gender aspects, exercise of joung and old people, altitude aspects, doping, etc.
