Abstract

The most important methods of data anlysis are treated in the lecture. In particular, examples from particle physics will be used.The following subjects will be dealt with:Distribution functions, Monte-Carlo methods, the maximum-likelihood method, the method of least squares, the method of moments, statistical tests, parametrisation of data and unfolding.

Die Theorie der Statistik ist eine wichtige Basis, um experimentelle Daten zu interpretieren. In dieser Vorlesung lernen wir, wie man statistische Methoden in einer wirklichen Datenanalyse verwendet. Es werden viele Beispiele besprochen, einschliesslich der 'Fit' Methode mit und ohne Nebenbedingungen, der Monte Carlo Methode und des Hypothesentests.
