Abstract

This class emphasizes the geometric, physical and instrumental basics of photogrammetry. The students get knowledge of the tools, methodologies and applications as well as understanding the basic systems and methods for image acquisition and processing. The operational handling of photogrammetric methods will be taught in sequent courses.

Objective

This class emphasizes the geometric, physical and instrumental basics of photogrammetry. The students get knowledge of the tools, methodologies and applications as well as understanding the basic systems and methods for image acquisition and processing. The operational handling of photogrammetric methods will be taught in sequent courses.

Content

Photogrammetry and RS: definition, type of sensors, history, applications. The image: photometric properties, quality and usability. Not-photogrammetric sensors: tv, ccd cameras. Metric cameras: optical elements, interior orientation and camera calibration, exterior orientation, sistematic errors, type of cameras, semi-metric cameras. Single image: geometric properties, measurements, analytical and digital rectification. Analytical photogrammetry: rotations, perspective projection, collinearity, coplanarity condition, bundle. Digital photogrammetry: scanning, digital acquisition, digital measurements (manual, semi- full-automatic), geometric transformations. Stereo and parallax: stereo measurements, 3D reconstruction. Flight: flight plan, navigation, external data (GPS, INS). Orientation stereo-model: relative orientation, forward intersection, absolute orientation. Analytical plotter and digital photogrammetric stations.
