Abstract

The goal of the course is to give deep insights on the molecular events responsible for the physiology of the cell.

Objective

The goal of the course is to give deep insights on the molecular events responsible for the physiology of the cell.

Content

In the Biochemistry I course, the students have acquired a detailed understanding of cellular organization, focusing on the different cellular components and structures. Here, we focus on how the different components of the cell talk to each other and are integrated together into global cellular processes, such as cell growth, cell polarization and cell division. Emphasis is also put on our understanding of pathologies associated with defective cell physiology, such as cancer. The course is given by several lecturers, each with specific expertise and competence on the subjects that she/he presents.
