Objective

Introduction to experimental analysis using immunological methods. This is an intensive practical course during 2 weeks with theoretical and practical introductions to basic immunological techniques individually applied during the course.

Content

ELISA, immunofluorescence of intra- and extracellular proteins, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, transfection of fibroblasts and immunofluorescence analysis of the expressed protein, tissue culturing of different cell types, cell mediated cytotoxicity assay, antibody mediated virus neutralization assay, fluorescence labelling of antibodies, intra- and extracellular analytical cytokine assays and characterization of lymphocytes derived from different organs of wild type and transgenic mice by using a FACS-instrument. Final seminar with presentation of experimental results.
