Convective Heat Transport
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:00:13
Abstract
The objective of this new course is to introduce the students to the field ofheat transfer by convection. This heat transport process is intimately tiedto fluid dynamics, meaning that a solid background in this field is necessary.Convection has direct implications in various industries, ranging from microelectronics cooling to thermal shields protection for space-shuttle at re-entry.
Content
The course content is: 1- Fundamentals of heat transfer 2- Boundary layer theory and applications 3- Forced convection 4- Natural Convection
