Abstract

Introduction into the field of bioprocess engineering, in particular in enzyme and microbial fermentation technology

Objective

The student should be able to go through basic and advanced design procedures for bioprocesses

Content

Students will obtain a thorough overview over the elements of bioprocess engineering: cellular growth and its modelling – fundamentals of enzyme technology – mass transfer in bioprocess engineering – bioreaction engineering – bioreactors
