Abstract

Introduction and mathematical preliminaries. Robustness analysis. The LQG/LTR method for the design of a robust controller. The H-infinity method for the design of a robust controller. Mu analysis and synthesis. Case studies in multivariable control: gasoline engine, unmanned airplane, unmanned helicopter.

Objective

Mastering systematic methods for the design of robust control systems.

Content

Measures for the robustness of a multivariable control system. Quantitative specifications for a robust control system. Systematic computer-aided design of robust multivariable controllers. H-infinity method, combination with LPV-method, mu-synthesis. Implementation with digital control. Applications to: gasoline engines, aircraft, helicopters, servo control, etc.
