Abstract

Introduction to the genesis, life cycle and characteristics of projects. In depth considerations include the methods and tools for the preparation and evaluation, the organization, the integrated planning, the target oriented controlling and the closure of projects. Complementary topics are human relations management, team work, arbitration and mediation.

Objective

• Understanding the project life cycle • Knowledge of the characteristics, structures and processes of projects • Mastering the methods and tools for planning and controlling projects.

Content

• Introduction • From strategic planning to the definition of a project (project initialization, targets and constraints, feasibility) • Project planning (work break down structure, resources, time and cost scheduling, expected benefits, efficiency) • Project organization (structures and processes) • Project controlling (controlling process, risk and quality management, reporting, change management) • Leadership in projects (human resources, team work, arbitration and mediation) • Project developement and realization • Project closure (site acceptance, setting to operation, handing over, documentation)
