Abstract

Level B2 (global scale of the Europena Council). Fluency in communication and clear argumentation of written ideas.

Objective

The course aims a complementarity of the paradigm grammar/oral communication. A particular emphasis will be given to the use of tenses and moods. The cultural diversity in the different Spanish-speaking regions of the world will be emphasized. We will use mass media original documents, among others.

Content

We will perform a review of all tenses of indicativo and the present tense of the subjuntivo. We will also approach the past tenses of subjuntivo, undertaking subordinate sentences of different categories. Passive constructions and a review of ser/estar will be included in the program. As far as oral communication is concerned, we will take topics from our semestral reading to focus them under a personal an contemporary perspective.

We will use material created and/or adapted by the teacher. We will also read short stories from different Latin American authors. Details will be given at the beginning of semester. A small fee will be asked for photocopies.
