Objective
To introduce the students to the fundamental aspects of human nutrition.
Content
The course contains an introduction to fat-soluble vitamins, water-soluble vitamins, minerals and trace elements and the nutrition of the different population groups (infant, children, elderly, pregnancy/lactation). Prof. Wenk introduces proteins, fats, carbohydrates, energy, work and sport, and nutrition in relation to catering.
