Abstract

The complex relation between structural analysis, methods leading to desired transformations, and insight into reaction mechanisms is exemplified. Relations between retrosynthetic analysis of target structures, synthetic methods and their combination in a synthetic strategy.

Erweiterung und Vertiefung der Kenntnisse in organischer Struktur-, Reaktions- und Stofflehre durch Besprechung ausgewählter Probleme der chemischen Synthese von biologisch wichtigen Naturstoffen.

Content

Concepts of the planning of organic synthesis (strategy and tactics), retrosynthetic analysis. Structure-reactivity relation in the context of the synthesis of compounds of increasing complexity.
