Abstract
Some of the fundamental concepts of informatics are presented in an transparent and contextsensitive way. One discusses whichof the basic ideas can be involved in high school cources and how to present them there. The priciples of the design of learning systems are explained, starting from the abstract level of concepts and finishing in concrete applications.
Objective
The first aim is to provide a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts of computer science in their relationships and so to create a good base for choosing appropriate topics for teaching informatics as well as for building transpart, attractive and well-understandable teaching systems. The second aim is to teach educational concepts that are especially helpfull for building successfull Leraning systems for teaching informatics.
Content
1. Lecturing some of the basic concepts and discoveries of informatics and discussing their contribution to science and education and the possibility to incorporate them in the high school education. 2. Theory and Practice of building E-learning systems 3. Examples of detailed creations of modules for teaching informatics for some cosen topics (also students are actively involved)
Resources
Lecture Notes
The textbooks Theoretical Computer Science , futher teachin materials will be available during the semester.
