Abstract

Knowledge of the major reactions of biotransformation in drug therapy, prediction of possible metabolites of drugs and xenobiotics, recognition of structure elements and reactions which can lead to toxic metabolites.

Objective

Goals: knowledge of the major reactions of biotransformation in drug therapy, prediction of possible metabolites of drugs and xenobiotics, recognition of structure elements and reactions which can lead to toxic metabolites.

Content

Major reactions of biotransformation. Major enzymes and reaction partners involved in the biotransformation of drugs and xenobiotics. Toxic reactions of metabolites. Factors which affect the biotransformation.
