Objective

Introduction to magnetic resonance imaging and its application in medicine.

Content

Einführung in die Kernspin-Tomographie: Grundlegende Phänomene der magnetischen Kernresonanz; 2- und 3-dimensionale Abbildungsverfahren; schnelle Abbildungsverfahren, Bildrekonstruktion; Anregungspulssequenzen und Bildkontrast, Gewebecharakterisierung. Apparative Einrichtung. Moderne Verfahren zur Erfassung von Organfunktionen: Analyse der Herzbewegung; Blutflussmessungen; koronare Angiographie; Perfusions- und Diffusionsmessungen; Einsatz von Kontrastmitteln; lokale Kernresonanzspektroskopie; Erfassung von aktivierten Hirnregionen (fMRI). Diagnostisches Potential und Einsatz in der Forschung. Interventionelle Bildgebung. Biologische Schädlichkeit und Limitationen.
