Abstract

Modern methods of data analysis are described, in particular as being applied to analyses of particle physics experiments. The course gives an introduction to particle detectors, statistics, data analysis methods, and presentation techniques. Most of the time the students will analyse data from real experiments by using a specifically designed Web page.

Objective

Acquire skills for analysing large data samples and learn how to present your physics results.
