Objective
Understanding of political processes, arenas and contents in forest relevant policy fields; knowledge for the devel-opment of Swiss forest conservation policy.
Content
Development of forest policy in Switzerland since the end of the 19th century. Analysis of respective social interests and conflicts, methods and procedures adopted, of instruments used and of contents of regulations. Demonstration of links to other areas of politics, in particular regarding forest conservation, wood production and the safeguarding of infrastructure. Solution-finding at a cantonal and municipal level. Analysis of current forest political problems and fundamentals for solutions at a national and international level (students).
