Objective

To constructively plan forest access roads using the principles of load-bearing safety and suitability for use.

Content

In a one week practical course students work on a forest road construction project. Engineering work is primarily done using computers with internationally available standard software. Drafting of plans and reports. Carrying out an estimation of costs. Basic principles of quality control concepts for operations. Various further information on the buying of material and the disposal of waste.
